Friendship Altar is a large limestone rock near British Landing. Until July 5, 1993, a large tree grew straight out of the top of the rock. However, a tornado hit the back of the Island and unfortunately ripped the tree out.
A wise Indian used to teach at the rock. He taught people to work together peacefully. The people soon began to argue though, and so the man taught the birds to sing cheerfully. He then climbed up a magic vine and disappeared into the sky.
From the Barracks: Take Garrison Road up from behind the Barracks. At its end, take British Lansing Road. Turn right on Scotts Road, the rock is on the right.
